Position: Pediatric Speech Therapist (Bilingual Spanish) Per Diem

Overview

Pediatric Speech Therapist (Bilingual Spanish) Per Diem Pediatric Therapy

Responsibilities
  • Evaluates and assesses neonate, pediatric and adolescent patients with speech, language and voice disorders and oral motor/feeding disorders to determine their level of function. Develops and performs therapeutic treatment programs that reflect age and developmentally appropriate activities and documents findings.
  • Communicates and works closely with medical staff and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participates in clinical education programs and departmental program development in assigned areas.
  • Practices in accordance with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association s Code of Ethics.
Qualifications
  • Requires Master s Degree in Speech and Language Pathology from a college or university accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Speech Language Pathology (CAA).
  • Requires a current New Jersey State license and registration in Speech and Language Pathology or eligibility.
  • Previous experience preferred; especially in Pediatric Rehabilitation.
  • Requires analytical ability, use of independent judgment and sufficient interpersonal and communication skills for interaction with patients, parents, caregivers, students, therapists and other healthcare professionals.
  • NDT certification preferred but not necessary.
  • BLS Certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
