Position Title and Details
Position: Staff Assistant (Full Time) – Clinical Research & Occupational Medicine Division, Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences Institute (EOHSI).
Location:
Piscataway, NJ. Salary Range: $49,883 – $69,920. FLSA:
Exempt. Grade: 17S.
Work Hours:
37.5 hrs per week.
Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences Institute (EOHSI) is a multidisciplinary faculty that supports basic and clinical research in environmental health sciences and exposure assessment.
EOHSI's objectives include advancing the understanding of chemical exposures, identifying and measuring these exposures, developing educational tools, contributing to public policies, and offering training programs for health professionals. As an unbiased source of expertise, EOHSI works with communities, employers and governments worldwide.
Posting SummaryThe Staff Assistant will provide administrative and programmatic support to the Mental Health Department within the World Trade Center Health Program contract.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure compliance with funding requirements and federal regulations.
- Accurate data entry of mental health screening tools in EMR and other databases.
- Input, track and maintain data across Epic and program reporting platforms.
- Collaborate with clinicians, faculty and other team members to support timely mental health services.
- Assist case managers, social workers, nurses, psychologists and psychiatrists with continuity of care.
- Manage clinician scheduling and calendars to optimize clinic flow.
- Minimum: $49,883
- Mid Range: $59,362
- Maximum: $69,920

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts, Public Health, Business Administration, Social Sciences or related field
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency with computers and electronic databases
- Ability to assist program participants with scheduling, follow‑up, and accessing services
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work professionally and collaboratively on a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility and willingness to take on additional tasks
- Equivalency in education, experience or training may substitute for degree requirement
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in an administrative or program support role
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (Epic preferred) and standard office software
- Experience working with diverse populations or in a healthcare environment
Requires full onsite work.
