Salary and Benefits

Salary Details: A minimum of $114,413 as the academic base and eligible for faculty practice. Offer Information:

Position Summary

Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Department of Neurosurgery is seeking a Chief of Pediatric Neurosurgery to clinically perform neurosurgery for pediatric and adult patients while administratively providing leadership, strategy, and oversight for the Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist the Department Chair in relevant strategic planning for the delivery of pediatric neurosurgical services.
  • Provide oversight for operational and programmatic aspects for Pediatric Neurosurgery with a focus on quality of surgical care and expansion of the pediatric service line.
  • Direct professional activities and projects to ensure excellence within the area of pediatric neurosurgery.
  • Oversee clinical and research resources of the Division to ensure optimal use and best practices.
  • Collaborate with RWJBH Neuroscience service line leadership for innovation and integration of neurosurgical services throughout the health system.
  • Mentor and develop junior faculty in accordance with the RBHS Appointments and Promotions Guidelines.
  • Support the clinical and educational activities of the Department of Neurosurgery.
  • Demonstrates clinical competence and surgical excellence in neurosurgery.
