Rutgers University Correctional Health Care (UCHC) is seeking a Clinician Supervisor for Edna Mahan Correctional Facility located in Clinton, New Jersey. Under supervision of the clinician administrator, oversees the daily operations of assigned sites. Responsible for addressing operational problems and finding appropriate solutions. Provides supervision/administrative leadership to multidisciplinary staff and students. Provides advanced level clinical treatment, which meets and/or exceeds quality and quantity standards.
Documents this treatment appropriately, and within specified time frames. Demonstrates competency in recognizing the unique needs and applies relevant treatment approaches for adults (ages 18 - 64), seniors (ages 65 +) and their families. Skilled in providing group, individual and family therapies.
Duties include:
- Oversees daily operations at program level.
- Supervises staff assigned by the program administrator. Assures the Clinical Staff exhibits professionalism by maintaining the UCHC standard of excellence and by adhering to legal and professional codes of conduct.
- Assures that clinical documentation and other ancillary documentation meet quality, quantitative and time standards.
- Provides evaluations, individual therapy, crisis counseling and group psychotherapy, as clinically indicated to meet the directservice hours established for this position.
- Provides psychological testing and evaluations of referred adult inmates from ages 18 and up.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Minimum of a Masters Degree in Psychology or Social Work, licensed at the LPC or LCSW level and five years of postgraduate experience in a relevant behavioral healthcare setting.
- One year of relevant supervisory experience required
- Effective team leadership and interpersonal skills are required.
- Computer literacy.
- Valid driver s license is required. Must possess own vehicle or alternative means of transportation from one site to another.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of correctional/forensic experience
Must be approved by the Department of Corrections (DOC) and adhere to all DOC requirements.
