Job Overview

Universal Nutrition’s ANIMAL’s Brand is looking for an Ecommerce Manager to own the execution and optimization of our end-to-end digital experience - from our website to social commerce channels. This role is the bridge between strategy and execution, responsible for bringing our brand, products and campaigns to life across web, email, SMS, loyalty, and subscription. At their core, this person is a digital marketer with a customer mindset.

They should be comfortable overseeing lifecycle programs, and collaborating cross-functionally with brand, creative, and performance teams.

Responsibilities Site Operations & Maintenance
  • Monitor website performance in real-time and analyze web demand by product and category to adjust the e-merchandising plan accordingly.
  • Develop and conduct A/B tests to improve add-to-cart and conversion rates.
  • Identify and scope new tools or enhancements to improve funnel performance.
Product Launches & Campaign Execution
  • Collaborate with Marketing, and Creative to develop brand-centric emails, homepage displays, department landing pages, and blogs to promote key products and categories.
  • Manage on-site content updates: homepage banners, landing pages, e-merchandising, and editorial content/blogs.
Lifecycle & Retention
  • Oversee execution of email and SMS programs together with agencies.
  • Optimize and drive performance from loyalty program.
  • Own subscription program and drive adaptation and LTV.
  • Ensure onsite UX supports key lifecycle customer journeys: welcome, post-purchase, reorder and churn.
Customer Journey & UX Monitoring
  • Regularly review website to identify friction in navigation or checkout.
  • Ensure consistency of the ANIMAL brand experience across digital touchpoints.
  • Recommend optimizations for PDPs, PLP, and landing pages.
  • Monitor on-site search and product recommendation performance.
  • Utilize data analysis and usability tests to make recommendations for enhancing site usability and optimizing the customer experience to boost conversion rates.
  • Conduct external analysis of industry trends in online merchandising, competitor strategies, and consumer preferences through both primary and secondary research methods.
Reporting & Analytics
  • Own weekly, and monthly reporting on site KPIs (traffic, conversion, AOV, site, revenue, etc.).
  • Monitor selling velocity by product/category, highlighting bestsellers and slow movers.
  • Analyze site funnel (homepage/landing page → PDP → cart → checkout) and recommend improvements.
  • Report on promotions, campaigns, and effectiveness of new features/functionalities.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing, ecommerce, CX or retention roles.
  • Experience with Shopify Plus and familiarity with tools like Klaviyo, Skio, Yotpo or similar platforms.
  • Solid hands‑on knowledge of analytical tools such as GA4, Northbeam, Similar Web.
  • Experience working with or managing external agencies.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with comfort in performance dashboards and testing platforms.
  • Process‑oriented and proactive.
  • Highly organized and detail‑oriented.
  • Prior experience with high‑growth DTC or subscription‑based ecommerce brands.
Schedule Options
  • Hybrid Work Schedule for individuals that reside within 40‑mile radius to New Brunswick, NJ with 4 days onsite/1 day remote.
