Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Telecommunications Analyst I (Collaboration Engineer) for the Telecommunications department within the Office of Information Technology. Reporting to the Manager of the OIT-Enterprise Infrastructure Service Delivery Video Collaboration Group, the Telecommunications Analyst I provides engineering support for the Cisco Unified Communications and USB based Platforms, which provides service across all campuses. The position assists in designing, configuring, installing, managing, and troubleshooting video conferencing hardware and software.
This position also supports and utilizes add-on applications to include Core Monitoring Systems, Webex, Teams, and Zoom monitoring. This position is responsible for developing positive relationships with departmental clients and supporting the mission and values of the Office of Information Technology - Enterprise Infrastructure Service Delivery.
- Assists with the Rutgers Unified Communication endpoint maintenance, upgrades, and expansions.
- Participates in and oversees site assessment and system staging, testing and deployment while working closely with other OIT staff members and technicians.
- Meets with and provides guidance to university departments regarding their unified communications needs while offering and implementing technical solutions.
- Prepares and provides project and equipment information including cost estimates to the departmental clients.
- Effectively utilizes network testing equipment for troubleshooting.
- Monitors and utilizes Unified Communications monitoring tools.
- Updates documentation and reports as required.
- Provides onsite support as well as training to end-users and departmental staff in NJ.
- Understands and adheres to Rutgers' compliance standards as they appear in RBHS's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Salary Details- Minimum Salary: $34,990
- Mid Range Salary: $41,930
- Maximum Salary: $49,760
The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position. We also take into consideration market benchmarks, if and when appropriate, and internal equity to ensure fair compensation relative to the university's broader compensation structure.
