Summary:
The Department of Psychology at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, is seeking an outstanding candidate for a non‑tenure track research faculty position specializing in clinical psychology, with an emphasis on smartphone‑based real‑time monitoring and statistics. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology or a related field by the appointment start date. We will prioritize the recruitment of candidates who demonstrate research excellence in areas of clinical science that complement and/or expand the current research foci of our department, especially candidates who have expertise in smartphone‑based real‑time monitoring and the analytic techniques related to these data collection methods.
Responsibilities will include developing and maintaining an active research program, including publication of peer‑reviewed manuscripts in high‑impact journals and presentations at scientific meetings. QualificationsMinimum Education and Experience
The successful candidate is expected to:
- Have a doctorate in clinical psychology or related social science field
- Have an established, active program of research with publications related to smartphone‑based real‑time monitoring.
- Successful history of obtaining extramural grant funding and/or demonstrable potential to obtain extramural grant funding
- Established record of publication of research findings in peer‑reviewed journals and dissemination of results through presentations at scientific conferences
- Strong skills in data management and statistical analysis, including advanced knowledge of statistical software (e.g., R and Mplus)
- Evidence of capacity to play a leadership role in an active research lab, including participation in and supervision of research activities (e.g., recruitment of study participants, data collection), adherence to IRB protocols, management of research staff, and mentorship of undergraduate, post‑baccalaureate, and graduate students
- Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to promote strong departmental and interdisciplinary connections
