RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for our Pediatrics Float Pool Department at the New Brunswick campus.

As an RN on the Pediatric Float Pool Team, you will provide care for children and adolescents 0-21 years old, across various pediatric units within the facility, such as the pediatric intensive care unit, neonatal unit, general pediatric floor, and emergency department.

• The Registered Nurse provides nursing care in the health care system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, and adheres to the ANA code of ethics.
• Ensure safety in practice and continuously advance knowledge by communicating with and utilizing available resources and programs.
• Report identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
• Know the patient population served.
• Supervise and direct the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient care providers.
• Set and evaluate priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
• Utilize the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize plans of care for specific patients.

Required:

• ASN or Nursing Diploma
• PALS
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills
• 1 year of Pediatric Medical Surgical experience

Preferred:

• BSN or must be completed within 5 years upon hire
• Pediatric RN experience highly preferred

Certifications and Licenses

Required:

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
• BLS and ACLS certification

Scheduling Requirements:

• Day Shift, 36 hours per week, 7a-7:30p
• Monday - Friday, some weekend and holiday rotation
• Part-Time
