Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Inpatient Oncology Float Pool – New Jersey

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement. Patient ratios typically 1:4-1:5 depending on unit, census, and acuity. Must work or provide coverage for 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's). Facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period.

• Comprehensive oncology experience across all liquid and solid tumor diagnoses, bone marrow transplant, clinical trials, and surgical oncology
• Teaching hospital environment with EPIC charting system required
• Float opportunities within oncology units, medical-surgical/telemetry, stepdown, and progressive care units
• 24-hour orientation with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, rapid response teams, respiratory services, and more
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers

Requirements:

• Active New Jersey or Compact State RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient oncology experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Patient ratio experience of 1:4 required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Provider Card
• EPIC charting experience required
• Charge experience preferred; OCN certification preferred
• At least one supervisory reference required at time of submission
• Comprehensive oncology clinical skills including chemotherapy/biotherapy administration (IV push, oral, continuous infusions), port access, central line management, IV therapy, oncologic emergency management, and symptom management
• Experience with diverse patient populations including bladder/kidney, brain, breast, colorectal, ENT, liver, lung, melanoma, ovarian/uterine, pancreatic, prostate cancers, and hematologic malignancies
• Ability to float within skillset to oncology units, medical-surgical/telemetry, stepdown, and progressive care units without exception
