Posting SummaryThe group of Dr. Chong Sun in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join interdisciplinary projects at the intersection of theoretical chemistry and machine learning. Candidates with experience in method development and high‑performance computing are especially encouraged. A Ph.D. in chemistry, physics, computer science, or a related field is required. The position offers a flexible start date, competitive salary, and full benefits.

- Minimum Education:
Ph.D. in chemistry, physics, computer science, or a related field (or Ph.D. expected by May 2026). - Experience in at least one of: methodology development in wave function‑based electronic structure methods, quantum Monte Carlo, tensor networks, or quantum embedding methods; ML‑augmented numerical method development;
High‑performance computing (HPC). - Strong background in quantum chemistry, computational physics, or machine learning.
