Brand Ambassador – New Brunswick, NJ (Part Time)

Company Overview
Acreage Holdings (now Canopy USA) is a vertically integrated, multi‑state cannabis operator focused on delivering high‑quality products across the United States. The Brand Ambassador role supports marketing and sales by promoting company brands and affiliates through dispensary‑facing activities, merchandising, and budtender education.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Regional and State Marketing and Sales teams to schedule regular presence in dispensaries.
  • Educate, engage, and inspire customers and dispensary staff as the face of our brands, providing insightful product knowledge, promotions, and budtender trainings.
  • Schedule and attend customer and account appreciation events.
  • Initiate, coordinate, and participate in brand partner and foundation‑supported events.
  • Maintain and track display and swag stock levels; distribute to accounts and staff as directed.
  • Collect competitive information and report findings.
  • Execute new launch materials and visual merchandising at store level.
  • Ensure proper placement of POP materials to increase shelf share.
  • Produce layout plans for stores and maintain shelves and inventory.
  • Promote our brand and affiliate brands to retail personnel and consumers professionally.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with in‑store personnel.
  • Seek out and report new opportunities, areas for improvement, and competitive activity.
  • Update and submit weekly recaps and photos of field activity.
  • Remain up‑to‑date with industry best practices.
  • Maximize customer interest and sales levels through appropriate product displays.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • Position has no direct reports.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Previous cannabis or related retail experience.
  • Customer service or event experience.
  • Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • Previous brand ambassador experience.
  • Proven experience in brand ambassadorship, marketing, or merchandising preferred.

  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • High level of organization and execution follow‑through.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Assertive yet diplomatic demeanor.
  • Availability for weekends and evenings.
  • Reliable vehicle for local travel; occasional overnight trips possible.
  • Knowledge of latest merchandising trends and best practices.
  • Commercial acumen and customer insight.

Summary – Perks & Benefits

  • Hourly compensation: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour (based on experience).
  • Prorated PTO, sick, and holiday pay.
  • Schedule:

    Part‑time, 20‑30 hours per week; primarily Tuesday‑Saturday, with evenings and weekends based on event schedule.
  • Local travel; occasional out‑of‑area travel.
  • No overtime exemption.
