Salary Details: Minimum of $269,922 for an assistant professor or $328,678 for an associate professor.

Summary:
Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, a National Cancer Institute (NCI) Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, seeks applications for a clinical research position at the Assistant/Associate professor level to join the Duncan and Nancy Mac Millan Cancer Immunology and Metabolism Center of Excellence. Candidates are expected to have a research emphasis on cancer immunotherapy and cell therapy, with a focus on first‑in‑human clinical trials conducted at Rutgers using unique resources such as on‑site GMP manufacturing and state‑of‑the‑art immune monitoring.
Clinical focus is open with additional opportunities in Phase I development. The successful candidate will join a team of researchers and clinicians in the newly established Center, a $30 million initiative co‑directed by Drs. Christian Hinrichs and Eileen White. The program leverages strengths in cancer metabolism and immunology in partnership with Princeton University and its CAR‑T therapy program with onsite GMP manufacturing and first‑in‑human clinical trials.
The research strategy follows an iterative bench‑to‑bedside approach that integrates laboratory discovery with clinical trials. This is an exciting opportunity to join a world‑class cancer immunology and immunotherapy program and a cellular therapy center of excellence, with attractive laboratory packages for qualified candidates.
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Hem/Onc 3‑year fellowship training or completion in progress
- Board‑certified ABIM; oncology certified/eligible
- Active NJML or qualified for NJML
