Salary Details: The minimum calendar year salary will not be less than $63,968.

Summary:
The evolve‑D lab, under the direction of Siobhán Cully in the Department of Anthropology, seeks a postdoctoral researcher to join interdisciplinary projects addressing evolutionary medicine and human behavior. This is a calendar year position. Candidates with experience in quantitative, laboratory, or field‑based methods and/or theoretical expertise in the evolution of kinship, gendered labor divisions, or disability are encouraged to apply.
A Ph.D. in anthropology, biology, demography, statistics, or a related field is required. The position offers a flexible start date, competitive salary, and full benefits. Minimum
Education and Experience:
Ph.D. in anthropology, biology, demography, statistics, or a related field, or Ph.D. expected by May 2026.
Demonstrated experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Design and implementation of accessible lab/field‑work and related training programs
- Proficiency in human biological lab‑based methodologies, including human energetics, anthropometry, and biological markers
- Quantitative analysis of complex data
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong background in theory or methods related to evolutionary paradoxes in human biology and behavior; proficiency in lab‑, field‑, or computational research; strong analytical skills; excellent communication and scientific writing skills; ability to work in interdisciplinary teams.
Immunization Requirements: Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against seasonal influenza for the current flu season, unless the university has granted a medical or religious exemption.
