Tax Associate

Join H&R Block as a Tax Associate, responsible for conducting tax interviews, preparing accurate tax returns, generating business growth, providing client support, and collaborating with the office.

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face‑to‑face and through virtual tools.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support.
• Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration.
• Grow tax expertise.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced, supportive environment.
• Ability to work a minimum of 25–35 hours weekly during tax season, up to 40 hours during peak weeks.
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced environment.
• Comfort using virtual tools (video, phone, chat).
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Must meet all IRS and applicable state requirements.
• High school diploma/equivalent or higher.
