Job Overview

R&E Excavation LLC is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Temporary Office Manager to support the operational heart of our construction business. This is not a field management role—it's a pivotal administrative position, ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to juggle HR tasks, billing, payroll, and day-to-day office coordination in a fast-paced environment. R&E Excavation LLC is a family-oriented residential construction company based in New Castle, DE. Known for our expertise in swimming pool construction and home remodeling, we take pride in blending innovative craftsmanship with strong operational foundations. Assist with recruiting, posting jobs, reviewing resumes, and scheduling interviews.

Support onboarding and manage compliance-related documentation for new hires.

Maintain accurate and confidential personnel files.

Manage weekly or biweekly payroll processing.

Process invoices, billing statements, and job-related documentation.

Ensure timely and accurate submission of payroll and billing tasks.

  • Office & Operations Management
    • Coordinate day-to-day office functions to ensure smooth operations.
    • Maintain and organize physical and digital filing systems.
    • Schedule internal meetings and field team assignments.
    • Serve as liaison between management, vendors, and field staff.
  • Construction Administration
    • Support job scheduling and field coordination efforts.
    • Manage and maintain administrative documentation such as work orders and job forms.
    • Provide general admin support to project teams as needed.
Qualifications

2+ years of experience in office management, administrative support, or HR roles.

Construction industry experience is strongly preferred.

Experience with payroll and billing systems (Quick Books Online a plus).

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

Professional, proactive, and dependable.

Confident managing sensitive HR and financial information.

Strong interpersonal skills—able to collaborate across departments.

Willing to adapt and support evolving office needs during the temporary role.
