Your future role

We’re looking for a full‑time onsite Procurement Project Manager in New Castle, DE, US. You will apply your procurement and project‑management expertise in a new, cutting‑edge field, working closely with project managers, sub‑system managers, procurement teams and the legal department to ensure successful procurement strategies aligned with project objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Define the project procurement strategy in collaboration with the procurement organization, formalise it into a Project Procurement Management Plan, and ensure alignment with quality, cost and delivery commitments.
  • Communicate the project procurement strategy to procurement teams and sub‑system managers and ensure its implementation.
  • Manage buyers working on the project to guarantee functional contributions to project QCD.
  • Organise procurement launch meetings involving the project manager, sub‑system managers and procurement teams.
  • Maintain a broad vision of supplier progress, issues and risks; define corrective measures and ensure their execution.
  • Collaborate with the legal department to develop and publish specific legal requirements for the project and oversee their application.
All about you
  • Degree in purchasing, engineering, project management or an equivalent field.
  • Experience or understanding of project management, procurement processes or engineering scope.
  • Knowledge of Alstom procurement processes is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel), SAP or other ERP software.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment.
  • Analytical and problem‑solving skills to synthesize large amounts of data.
  • Results‑oriented mindset with a track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and manage cross‑functional teams.
  • A rigorous and structured approach to tasks and responsibilities.
