Mechanical Desk Engineer DE - Mobility Customer Services

Siemens Mobility is hiring a Mechanical Desk Engineer in Wilmington, DE to support the maintenance and operations of customer‑owned fleets of locomotives and coaches. The role involves providing remote technical support to on‑train staff, troubleshooting critical issues, and ensuring minimal service delays.

• Monitor fleet performance and equipment surveillance for Siemens locomotives.
• Provide real‑time voice support to end users during incidents.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and Field Service Technicians to improve maintenance practices.
• Support failure investigations and complete Root Cause Analysis reports.
• Review and update maintenance documentation and troubleshooting procedures.
• Work a day/evening/night shift, including weekends and holidays.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical experience.
• Experience in rolling‑stock operations or maintenance.
• Knowledge of FRA / CFR regulations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across the organization.
• Ability to perform structured troubleshooting under complex, time‑critical situations.
• Willingness to develop technical knowledge of Venture Coaches and Charger locomotives.

Salary: $76,398.00 – $89,658.00 (commensurate with experience).
