You will be responsible for leading and executing a comprehensive HR and Talent strategy at a large, and globally critical operation located in Delaware. As our successful candidate you willbuild strong, impactful relationships with site and business leadership to enable the realization of site objectives.

This is a site-based, business partner/generalist role for a population that is a mix of union and non-union employees.

This position will join a broad and talented HR team and will be responsible to directly manage the site HR Partner.

What You'll Be Doing

  • You will be part of a site leadership team focused on transforming the operation, and culture to meet the rapidly changing demands of our customers and industry.
  • Focus on identifying current and future capability gaps at all levels and lead the Talent Review Process. Identify critical talent, and leadership development needs and facilitate/lead the delivery of solutions.
  • Work with management and the union on incident investigations, corrective actions, the grievance process, collectively bargain and draft agreements as needed. Build a professional, and productive union relationship.
  • Partner with site management and external counsel to lead union contract negotiations in advance of contract expiration.
  • Communicate effectively in various media with a diverse audience including R and D, Operations, Functional and Engineering teams.
  • Identify the need for, provide counsel and manage the roll out of new policies, critical communications, and processes.
  • Manage the overall site Employee Engagement Strategy, in partnership with the broader HR team to drive to transparency, empowerment and diversity.
  • Leverage and expect a data mindset to drive understanding.
  • Interpret and ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws and policies including, but not limited to FLSA, FMLA, EEO and Worker’s Compensation.
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers on performance related matters throughout the year for all employees. Lead by example when giving and receiving feedback.
  • Advocate, promote and effectively manage the site environment, evaluating and identifying site culture and opportunities.

    Engage externally in the community as needed.
  • Partner with Leadership on the full spectrum of talent acquisition including finalizing job descriptions, leveraging labor market knowledge, posting, sourcing, interviewing, selection and on-boarding top talent, in partnership with the Regional TA team.
  • Build and execute workforce development plans.
Who We're Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Psychology or related field required. Advanced degree or SHRM certification are desirable.
  • Minimum of 7 years HR experience, with experience in a union environment.
  • Must have the ability to translate metrics, research, feedback and trends into strategy and impactful solutions.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. local, state and federal laws and governmental compliance requirements as well as knowledge of current and progressive principles and practices of human resources management.
  • Outstanding communicator with the ability to interact, and influence across all levels of an organization.
  • Proficient in MS Office, experience with HCM; data analytics experience preferred.
