Custom manufacturing company located in New Castle, DE, is seeking a well‑rounded Lead Fabricator to head up our CNC Department. Candidate will be responsible for writing G & M code, programming & operating CNC Vertical Mills (Haas VF‑10, VF‑4, VF‑3 & Fadal) and fabrication of steel, aluminum and wood products. Full time day shift position. Attractive salary and benefits package.
Requirements- Proven experience as a CNC programmer with vertical mill expertise.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software such as Solid Works or AutoCAD.
- Understanding of G‑code programming and CNC machine operations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities- Program and operate CNC vertical mills to fabricate parts according to specifications.
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed drawings and models for production.
- CNC programming, set up & operation of CNC Vertical Mills for standard & custom parts.
- Set-up and break-down of machining centers as well as scheduling PM and cleaning.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting machines.
- Create schedules for machining centers based on production schedule.
- Train and oversee machine operators.
- Work on other shop equipment such as manual mills, press‑brake, saws, lathe, drills, etc.
- Draw, read and interpret prints, plans, sketches, and shop drawings.
- Work with designers and management to achieve customers' satisfaction.
- Maintain a high level of production while maintaining quality.
- Responding to quick turnaround orders;
Some overtime required. - Perform well in a fast‑paced and team‑oriented environment.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
- Perform related duties, as assigned.
- Trade school graduate, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of programming experience with CNC Vertical Machining Centers.
- Knowledge of Auto CAD and/or Solid Works.
- Knowledge of wood & Plexiglas a plus.
- Must be familiar with steel and aluminum.
- Strong knowledge of shop practices and skill in using shop tools and equipment.
- Ability to ACCURATELY read tape measure & blueprints and translate into fabricated products using fractions & decimal places.
- Experience with Laminates and veneers a plus.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform related duties and responsibilities of this job, including lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Forklift certified preferred.
