Tools Specialist

Mayzon is seeking aTools Specialist to support the preventive maintenance, cleaning, repair, and inspection of injection molds, tooling, jigs, fixtures, and related production equipment within our Tool & Die department.

This is a hands-on position focused on keeping tooling properly maintained, identifying wear or damage before it becomes a production issue, and supporting the Tool & Die and Production teams as needed.

• Perform preventive maintenance on molds, tools, jigs, and fixtures.
• Inspect tooling for wear, defects, or damage and document findings.
• Clean tooling using approved methods, including the Cold Jet cleaning system when applicable.
• Set up and operate Bridgeport mills, lathes, and surface grinders as needed.
• Use micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Assist with mold repairs and support Production with equipment adjustments and maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe Tool & Die work area.

• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tools, machinery, or industrial equipment.
• Ability to read drawings and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments.
• Experience with machining, tooling, mold maintenance, or Tool & Die is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

This position works closely with the Tool & Die and Production teams to help ensure molds and tooling are clean, maintained, documented, and ready for production. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
