We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced A-Level Heavy Truck Technician to join our team. This role is based at our heavy truck facility, which services Freightliner, Western Star, and other OEMs. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience and expertise in diagnosing and repairing vehicles, particularly with Cummins and Detroit Diesel engines.
Heavy Truck A-Level Technician - Cummins & Detroit Diesel Experience Required.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and troubleshoot engine, transmission, and vehicle performance issues using advanced diagnostic tools.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks, including Cummins and Detroit Diesel-powered vehicles.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify and address potential mechanical issues.
- Repair or replace faulty components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Maintain detailed repair and service records for all work performed.
- Work closely with team members to prioritize and efficiently complete repair jobs.
- Ensure all repairs comply with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- 5+ years of experience as a heavy truck technician, specializing in Cummins, Detroit Diesel, and vehicle diagnostics.
- Strong knowledge of Freightliner, Western Star, and other OEMs.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Certification from a technical school or equivalent industry experience is preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License (Required).
