PositionSummary
In this position you will be responsible for efficiently and effectively commissioning and troubleshooting various sub‑metering and lighting control systems across the country.
Position Responsibilities- Commission, troubleshoot, and debug installation issues for various Lighting Control and sub‑metering systems across the country.
- Support installation personnel and provide information for other contractors on project sites.
- Collaborate and communicate with staff to ensure the estimation, design, installation, start‑up, commissioning, and training for building systems is accurate.
- Coordinate projects with tech dispatch and installation contractors.
- Document all start‑up processes for assigned projects, including field service reports, check‑out logs, commissioning documents, etc., as required.
- Ensure timely software backups are created for projects.
- Provide service support on existing installations, ensuring systems continue to meet current building occupancy codes and operate efficiently.
- Generate service work orders, timesheets, and other paperwork required in an accurate and timely manner.
- Keep current on low voltage building control and metering systems.
- Adhere to all United Electric health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Act in a safe and positive manner always, ensuring that those around you do not put themselves or others r personal safety is your responsibility.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma and 1-3 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education (Technical School) and experience.
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and proficiency with handheld computers (e.g., smartphone, iPad).
- Business Acumen.
- Communication Proficiency.
- Computer programming language knowledge beneficial.
- Requires working in diverse conditions including, but not limited to, mechanical equipment rooms with exposure to noisy operating equipment, extreme weather conditions, precarious places, and the risk of electrical shock (high voltage).
- Highly physical, requiring regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, and kneeling. Employees can expect to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 lbs.
- May be involved with troubleshooting electrical circuits, adherence to NFPA 70E Standards.
