Materials Service Assistant III – Picker – 10‑hour shifts – Day/Evening

Christiana Care, a leader among the Top 100 hospitals recognized by U.S. News & World Report, is looking for a full‑time Service Assistant III – Material Picker. The role ensures accurate picking, packing, and delivery of patient and service supplies to hospital supply locations and off‑site facilities, meeting safety, security, and efficiency standards.

Primary Function

Accurately pick and pack customer supply orders for delivery and transshipment.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Fulfill customer supply orders via pick ticket with accurate documentation.
  • Handle supplies and equipment ensuring sterility and infection control.
  • Pack and transport orders to the outbound area for transshipment.
  • Load/unload shipments and internal transport carts.
  • Stage inbound shipments and transport carts in appropriate areas.
  • Transport inventory products from receiving platform to warehouse.
  • Restock supplies in proper shelve/bin locations using accurate rotation and documentation.
Hours

Sunday 1 pm – 11:30 pm, Monday, Thursday, Friday 3:30 p – 2:00 a

Education and Experience Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • One year of relevant experience in warehouse operations.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
Working Conditions
  • Unavoidable noise, dust, and dirt in a busy hospital environment.
Physical Demands
  • Frequent lifting up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to push a cart with up to 250 lbs.

Compensation

Starting rate: $18.08 per hour. After six months: $21.15 per hour. After one year: $22.18 per hour.
