Operate company tugboats on marine construction projects in the Delaware Bay and the Mid-Atlantic. Current focus is the Delaware Memorial Bridge ship-collision protection project.
You'll move barges, equipment, and personnel safely between the work site and shore stations.
Responsibilities- Operate the tugboat per Coast Guard regulations and company safety policy.
- Move barges, derricks, and equipment between the work site and dock.
- Conduct pre-departure and post-arrival vessel checks.
- Coordinate with the project superintendent on daily marine operations.
- Maintain vessel logs, fuel records, and maintenance schedules.
- Respond to marine emergencies and safety drills.
- Mentor crew on safe deck-handling practices.
- USCG Master of Towing Vessels license (or equivalent), current.
- 5+ years operating tugboats in marine construction or commercial towing.
- Current TWIC card and DOT physical.
- Experience with barge handling on heavy-civil marine work is strongly preferred.
- Comfortable working in all weather; on-call rotation.
