Instructional Assistant-Physical Education

Works closely with students regularly to provide instructional support in the Career and Technical Education Programs at New Castle Career Center.

• Extend instruction to students after the initial teacher presentation.
• Work with small groups of students to reinforce instructional material.
• Listen to students in recitation, reading, and other curriculum tasks.
• Help students in labs with skills.
• Substitute when needed in all program areas.
• Check students' work as directed.
• Assist with pupil records.
• Make and file copies.
• Use and care of equipment and facilities.
• Maintain positive public relations.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervising teacher or principal.

• Education:
  
  Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Demonstrate good oral and written communication skills.
• Complete a criminal history background check.

• Prior welding and/or basic construction skills.

• 3 Days Per Week - Monday-Friday 8:30-3:30.
• Hourly Rate: $15 an hour based on experience.
