Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Overview:
A MECHANIC assists with the maintenance of the plant’s equipment, including preventive maintenance, along with other duties as assigned. Successful candidates will complete a general knowledge placement test with a satisfactory score.

Responsibilities:

• Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen for troubleshooting.
• Dismantle devices to access and replace defective parts.
• Inspect parts for imperfections and measure for dimensional requirements.
• Adjust, repair, or replace parts and control instruments.
• Install functional and structural parts, lubricate, and clean components.
• Test device performance after repairs.
• Operate metalworking tools for making and repairing parts.
• Perform tasks as assigned by supervisors, work as a team, and ensure safety and product quality.
• Follow GMPs, SOPs, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean work area and assist other departments as needed.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Computer literacy, especially with CMMS systems.
• Industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, electricity, utilities, and welding (TIG or stick).
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and utilities problems.
• Attend vendor training as required.

Additional Details:

• Hourly rate TBD based on experience, with potential step increases.
• Location:
  
  New Castle, IN.
• Full-time, 1st shift, in Facility Maintenance.
