QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: One (1) year experience working with children required.

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
  • Problem solving ability where independent judgment may be required
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient with technology (ex: computers, tablets, etc.)
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Mental Concentration: Considerable concentration intermittently.

Interruptions: Occur constantly.

Physical Effort: Moderate physical effort in predominantly standing position. Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.

Special Demands: Moderate travel. Potential eyestrain. Current PA Driver's License and access to a vehicle.

Special Requirements: History verification showing free of child abuse, state and federal criminal record. Act 33, 34, FBI Fingerprinting and National Sex Offender Registry search completed. Pre-employment staff health assessment (including Mantoux TB screen) completed, renewed biennially. Pediatric FA/CPR renewed biennially.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Adheres to agency wide policies and procedures to meet grant regulations and
  • Implements regulations and standards required for program operation, such as Head Start Performance Standards, PKC Regulations, DHS Licensing Requirements, and STARS standards
  • Participates in ongoing training and professional development required by the Head Start Performance Standards, PKC Regulations, DHS Licensing Requirements, and/or STARS standards
  • Maintains a commitment to professionalism and compliance with the program’s Standards of Conduct
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate and timely documentation in accordance with program and agency standards
  • Develops and establishes strong relationships with families to assist in the coordination of care and services
  • Participates and assists with child recruitment and family engagement activities
  • Encourages In-Kind participation
  • Performs other related work as required on behalf of the agency
