EMC Test Engineer

Applus+ Keystone, a regulatory compliance test lab located in New Castle, PA, is currently seeking candidates for an EMC Test Engineer position. The successful candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent character, and a commitment to producing high‑quality work. We are looking for someone who can work independently, is self‑motivated, and can manage their time effectively.

• Understand EMC design theory, including detailed theoretical knowledge in the technical areas of shielding, filtering, grounding, bonding, cabling, gasketing, wave guides, and printed circuit boards.
• Apply and understand advanced concepts of electrical and/or mechanical nature.
• Become familiar with applicable standards, company manuals and appropriate technical literature.
• Use test equipment such as EMI receivers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, RF amplifiers, power meters, B.C.I clamps, CDNs and LISNs with various antennas.
• Become proficient with TILE software, Lab View and other test software.
• Establish appropriate test programs by reviewing the job folder and applicable standards.
• Determine compliance with appropriate standards and notify client of any areas in which the product is not in compliance or of any changes in project scope or specifications.
• Aid the technical report writers in preparation of EMI/EMC test plans, test procedures and test reports.
• Interpret test results, provide data analysis and summarize results through technical report writing.
• Review test reports generated to ensure integrity of report.

• At least five years of EMC experience.
• Proficient with MS Office.
• Be as comfortable working with tools as working on a keyboard.
• Ability to lift and handle equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods while conducting tests.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis for any employer. Citizenship must permit compliance with the requirements of ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).
