Project Engineer - Transportation
Join Bruce & Merrilees Electric Co. as a Project Engineer and contribute to impactful transportation infrastructure projects across the communities we serve. This role offers a hands‑on opportunity to learn, grow, and build a foundation for a long‑term career in construction and infrastructure.
What You'll Do (and Learn!)- Review and submit shop drawings that bring designs to life.
- Track submittals and assist in building construction schedules to keep projects moving forward.
- Manage and monitor installed quantities to ensure everything aligns with project targets.
- Learn cost reporting, project tracking, and estimating fundamentals to understand how projects come together.
- Generate RFIs (Requests for Information) and engage directly with customers as a primary communicator.
- Support field teams by solving design questions and addressing customer needs in real time.
- Ensure contract requirements are met and assist wherever the project needs you.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field – or equivalent hands‑on experience.
- 0–2 years of experience (new graduates encouraged to apply).
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and an aptitude for quickly learning new software.
