Machine Operator

A well-rounded individual to work in a team environment and demonstrate a high regard to working in a safe and efficient manner each day. Will be trained to operate all different types of equipment and processes such as All-Across-Perforating Presses, Roll Leveler, Tension Levelling, Shears, Brake Press, roll former, Surface Grinders, material handling and secondary equipment and is required to perform such functions as directed by supervisor.

The position entails the understanding of quality operations, shop math, drawings, specifications, and the use of precision measuring instruments. One will be required to operate various types of equipment depending on shop load demand. Exercising good judgment for planning and performing tasks and making practical decisions is essential. This position requires that the selected individual be capable to work independently with minimal supervision and follow company policies with a high regard for your safety and that of your co-workers.

Physical requirements include walking, using hands to handle or feel, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, hearing, seeing, pushing, pulling, reaching, and repetitive motion. The job is classified as medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
