Allied Digestive Health is one of the largest integrated networks of gastroenterology care centers in the nation, with over 200 providers and 60 locations throughout New Jersey and New York. Our physician‑led organization encourages provider input and decision‑making while offering operational support to our compassionate team of board‑certified physicians who deliver personalized treatment plans for patients.

Base Pay Range

$18.00/yr – $25.00/yr

About the Role

The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare services. This position is responsible for providing high‑quality patient care and support to our medical team, directly impacting patient outcomes and satisfaction. The Medical Assistant will assist in various clinical tasks, including taking vital signs, performing venipuncture, and managing electronic health records. By effectively communicating with patients and healthcare professionals, the Medical Assistant helps create a welcoming and efficient environment, ultimately facilitating the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years’ experience in a healthcare setting or a similar role.
  • Basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of a medical assistant training program.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in gastroenterology.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish) to assist a diverse patient population.
Responsibilities
  • Take and record patients’ vital signs and medical histories accurately.
  • Manage electronic health records, ensuring all patient information is up‑to‑date and confidential.
  • Answer multi‑line phone calls, schedule appointments, and handle patient inquiries with professionalism.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to assist in patient care and address any issues that may arise during appointments.
