Job Summary

The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) provides advanced-level phlebotomy services
, supporting clinical operations by collecting high-quality blood specimens and ensuring accurate preparation for laboratory testing. This role interacts directly with patients in a variety of settings, delivers exceptional customer service, and upholds strict confidentiality and accuracy standards while demonstrating leadership behaviors and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all daily activities accurately, efficiently, and on time under supervisor direction.
  • Maintain a safe, professional, and patient-friendly environment

  • Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing with confidence and precision.
  • Verify and document patient demographics, initials, and signatures to ensure correct labeling and identification.
  • Maintain required records, logs, and documentation in accordance with company procedures.
  • Promote a professional image to patients, clients, coworkers, and the public.
  • Travel and provide coverage for multiple Patient Service Center or In-Office Phlebotomy locations as needed.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors, peers, and patients.
  • Adhere to all company policies, safety guidelines, compliance standards, and dress code requirements.
  • Support a high-volume environment while handling multiple priorities.
  • Participate in training at varying locations as required.
Required Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years of phlebotomy experience
    , including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Minimum two years working in a Patient Service Center environment (preferred).
  • Customer service experience in retail or service environments (preferred).
  • Keyboard/data entry proficiency.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record (if applicable).
  • Flexibility for overtime, weekends, holidays, travel, and short-notice assignments.
  • Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise sound judgment.
Nice-to-Have Experience
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training.
  • Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, WA; preferred in other states).
  • Experience working across multiple lab or clinical locations.
