Master’s degree or MBA in Marketing, Agri-Business, or related field.
Job Purpose
The officer will be responsible for engaging with government bodies and policymakers to represent and advocate the interests of the agriculture and food industry, address key sectoral challenges, and support sustainable growth and competitiveness across the value chain.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct in-depth research and analysis on the agriculture and food processing sectors, contributing to report development, proposals, and concept notes.
Collaborate with the team to plan and execute ASSOCHAM’s conferences, seminars, round tables, and networking events.
Identify industry-specific challenges and opportunities and convert them into viable event or policy discussion platforms.
Monitor and analyse regulatory and policy developments relevant to the agriculture and food processing sectors.
Demonstrate strong analytical and writing skills with a research-oriented approach.
Identify and qualify potential leads through research, networking, and outreach
Effectively communicate the value proposition of ASSOCHAM membership to prospective stakeholders.
Prepare and deliver impactful presentations; facilitate discussions with industry leaders and policymakers.
Manage communication among key stakeholders, including council members, corporate representatives, and government dignitaries.
Support the promotion and marketing of departmental events to ensure maximum participation and engagement.
Drive revenue generation through sponsorship acquisition and partnership development.
Coordinate with vendors, speakers, and participants to ensure high-quality event execution and stakeholder satisfaction.

Education and Experience
MBA in Agribusiness, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
5–8 years of relevant experience in research, event management, or industry outreach, preferably within the agriculture or food processing sectors.

Skills (Soft and Functional)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting policy briefs, reports, and advocacy material.
Strong networking, presentation, and organizational abilities.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CRM or event management tools will be an advantage.
Policy Analysis skills in reviewing government policy drafts, regulations, and industry submissions related to agriculture and food sectors.
Self-motivated, proactive, and ethically driven professional committed to sectoral growth and sustainability.
Public Speaking skills to represent industry issues at government meetings, business forums, and stakeholder consultations.
