The Role
We are looking for a Senior Research Analyst / Lead to help build and deliver our next generation of AI-powered research solutions. This is not a traditional research role. You will combine strong industry, competitor and market intelligence experience with hands-on AI capabilities. You will work directly with clients to solve complex research problems and alongside our engineering team to translate research methodologies into scalable AI-enabled workflows.
The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, commercially aware and a systems thinker—someone who can see how sources, signals, analytical frameworks, AI models and human judgment fit together into a reliable intelligence system.

What You'll Do

Lead Client Engagements
Lead competitive intelligence, market intelligence and investment intelligence engagements from problem definition through final delivery.
Translate broad client questions into clear research frameworks, hypotheses and analytical workplans.
Analyze companies, industries, markets, products, distribution models and emerging strategic signals.
Synthesize structured and unstructured information into decision-relevant insights for senior stakeholders.
Identify patterns across sources such as company disclosures, earnings calls, industry publications, hiring activity, digital content and other alternative signals.
Produce high-quality executive briefs, competitor profiles, market assessments and recurring intelligence outputs.
Present findings clearly and confidently to clients, including senior strategy, research, marketing and business leaders.
Maintain strong standards for evidence, source traceability, analytical rigor and quality control.

Design AI Powered Research Solutions
Develop new capabilities focused on competitive intelligence and investment intelligence.
Convert research processes into repeatable AI-enabled workflows, agents and analytical systems.
Define how a solution should collect information, evaluate sources, identify signals, apply analytical frameworks and generate outputs.
Design taxonomies, scoring methodologies, prompts, evaluation criteria and human-review processes.
Work closely with engineers to translate research requirements into product logic and technical specifications.
Test AI outputs for accuracy, relevance, consistency and analytical depth.
Diagnose failure modes and improve workflows through better context, tools, data structures, model instructions and evaluation methods.
Help determine which parts of a research workflow should be automated, augmented by AI or retained for expert judgment.
Contribute to reusable solution architectures that can be adapted across clients, industries and use cases.

What We're Looking For
4-6 years of experience in industry research, competitive intelligence, market intelligence, investment research, corporate strategy or a related field.
Strong preference for experience in financial services, including asset management, wealth management, insurance, private markets or banking.
Experience researching complex B2B industries, business models and buying environments.
Demonstrated ability to move beyond information gathering and develop differentiated, evidence-based insights.
Significant hands-on experience using generative AI and research tools in real analytical workflows—not only basic prompting.
