The Role
We are hiring a Category Manager – Travel Luggage to lead assortment direction, sourcing, pricing, and retail performance for the entire luggage portfolio.
You will own the category like a business unit with clear sales and margin accountability.
Scope & Responsibilities
Portfolio & Assortment Architecture
• Define product mix across cabin, check-in, duffle, backpacks, and sets
• Build range depth based on price tiers and travel needs
• Plan seasonal and evergreen collections
Buying & Demand Planning
• Forecast demand using store productivity and seasonality
• Plan buy quantities and intake timing
• Maintain healthy cover and replenishment cycles
Vendor & Product Development
• Manage vendor selection, tooling, and costing negotiations
• Oversee durability, functionality, and quality standards
• Ensure on-time production and delivery
Performance Management
• Track sales, margin, returns, and damages
• Control markdowns and slow-moving stock
• Optimize space productivity across channels
Channel Optimization
• Define format-wise assortments
• Support VM for impactful display
• Monitor store productivity and trade weekly
Experience & Qualification
6–10 years in luggage/travel or hard goods retail
Vendor management and costing strength
Commercial and operational balance
