The Role
We are hiring a Category Head – Eyewear  to lead the category as a complete business unit.

You will own strategy, sourcing, planning, pricing, and retail performance with clear accountability for growth and profitability.

Scope & Responsibilities
Business Ownership

• Own category P&L including sales, margin, stock turns, and inventory risk

• Deliver seasonal and annual growth targets

• Drive profitability through clean planning and cost structures

Category Direction & Assortment Strategy

• Define fashion vs core mix, sunglasses vs optical splits

• Develop product architecture across materials, shapes, and price bands

• Create differentiated assortments by format and region

Demand Planning & Inventory Discipline

• Approve buys and intake schedules

• Forecast demand using store productivity and sell-through history

• Manage replenishment, transfers, and liquidation cycles

• Maintain healthy cover and minimize ageing

Sourcing & Vendor Ecosystem

• Select and manage suppliers

• Negotiate costing, tooling, MOQs, and quality

• Ensure design innovation and compliance standards

Channel & Commercial Execution

• Drive placement and visibility strategy in stores

• Lead launch calendars and campaign tie-ins

• Improve door productivity and conversion

• Partner with VM/Marketing for premium storytelling

Team Leadership

• Build and lead category merchandising team

• Set performance KPIs and review cadence

Experience & Qualification
12–18+ years in eyewear/accessories retail
Strong sourcing and category strategy exposure
Proven P&L management experience
