Support Early Childhood Educator

Join South Shore Regional Centre for Education as a Support Early Childhood Educator at New Germany Elementary School. Engage preschoolers in a nurturing environment while supporting their holistic development and learning.

This term position spans from August 18, 2026, to June 30, 2027. Reporting to the Pre-Primary Facilitator, you will collaborate with the Lead Early Childhood Educator to ensure an engaging pre-primary program using evidence-based practices.

Your role includes maintaining a supportive classroom, encouraging exploration, and fostering children's growth through play-based strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Lead ECE in creating dynamic learning environments

• Implement Nova Scotia Early Learning Curriculum Framework

• Observe, assess, and document children’s progress

• Facilitate family and community involvement

• Provide nutritious snacks and support classroom management

Requirements:

• ECE Level 2 or 3 preferred

• Minimum 3 years of experience with preschoolers

• Valid First Aid training

• Satisfactory background checks

• Strong interpersonal skills for family communication
