Position: Teacher Assistant with Bus Monitor Duties
Enhance learning at New Germany Elementary School as a Teacher Assistant and Bus Monitor with South Shore Regional Centre for Education. Support students and create a safe, respectful environment every day.

This term position requires a passionate Teacher Assistant to aid with personal care, behavior management, and general classroom support. Candidates should complete a related two-year program with special education components and practical training. Collaboration with educators is key to the role of fostering students' independence and self-management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students with daily personal care needs

• Support positive behavior management under direction

• Collaborate closely with teachers on individualized plans

• Maintain confidentiality and respect for student diversity

• Record observations and data as required

Requirements:

• High school completion certificate

• Minimum two-year certified program in education support

• First Aid and CPR certification required

• Knowledge of assistive technology preferred

• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position
