Assistant Category Manager

Position: Assistant Category Manager at Sobeys

Become a pivotal player at Sobeys as an Assistant Category Manager, ensuring the accuracy of promotional planning data in a hybrid role. Collaborate with Category Managers and national partners to streamline processes.

In this full-time position, you will support various categories by managing promotional data, handling vendor interactions, and resolving pricing issues. You will leverage technology such as SAP and Microsoft Office to analyze large datasets and provide valuable insights.

Your role also includes coordinating with Marketing on ads and assisting the Category Manager as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage promotional planning system data accuracy

• Respond to vendor-initiated changes promptly

• Coordinate ad creation and proofing with Marketing

• Resolve retail pricing discrepancies effectively

• Provide analytical support across categories as requested

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years in category management

• Strong data analysis skills with SAP familiarity

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• Grocery or e-commerce experience preferred

• Effective communicator with negotiation skills
