As a 3rd Class Power Engineer, you will report to the Chief Power Engineer, working on a 12-hour rotating shift. Your responsibilities will include maintaining equipment like the boiler and chiller plants while supporting overall facility maintenance. With your Third Class Power Engineer Certification, you will ensure compliance with the Nova Scotia Boiler & Pressure Equipment Regulations and maintain constant energy production.
Key Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot and repair steam plant equipment
• Monitor energy production and maintain safety regulations
• Support general maintenance as directed
• Work independently and contribute to team goals
• Travel between facilities as required
Requirements:
• Certified Third Class Power Engineer
• Knowledge of building mechanical systems
• Previous experience in building maintenance
• Familiarity with labor and safety codes
• Ability to work independently and travel if necessary
