Nova Scotia Health is hiring the next generation of Nurse Practitioners who will be completing their studies in the next 12 months. Nurse Practitioners (NPs) are vital resources in our healthcare system, providing autonomous care and collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. The NP works within the legislated scope of practice, diagnosing, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing pharmaceuticals, and performing procedures.
The NP is accountable to the NSCN standards and the Code of Ethics and is responsible for quality improvement initiatives within the system.

Hourly rate: $59.47–$69.52 (hourly with 25 years’ experience: $71.96 per hour).
Eligible candidates may participate in the Canada Student Loan Forgiveness Program
—up to $30,000 over a maximum of five years—for qualifying Nurse Practitioners.
