Selection Criteria
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and eligible for registration in the province of Nova Scotia required.
  • Completion of an approved Critical Care Course/Critical Care Certificate/CCNP or Emergency Nursing Program (ENP) required.
  • A minimum of 3 years Critical Care nursing experience required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Current ACLS/RQI ALS certification required.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Evidence of ongoing relevant education.
  • Demonstrated good interpersonal skills and ability to maintain good relationships with patients/residents, families and co‑workers.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred.
  • Shifts include days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
Compensation and Benefits

$40.55 - $49.99 hourly plus 15% (NUR
006TN
/RN02TN
). $51.74 with 25 years’ experience, plus the above premium. Nurses employed receive 15% added to their base hourly rate; external nurses are placed on the salary scale per article 8.01 (A).
