Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist – Full Time

Salary: $55,000 – $60,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, day shift only (8.5 hours/day, 30-minute unpaid lunch)

We are currently seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to join our growing QA team to fill an open position.

The QA Specialist ensures that all products meet quality standards and comply with Health Canada
, FDA
, and HACCP regulatory requirements while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Review batch records and related documentation to ensure compliance with manufacturing procedures, specifications, and regulatory requirements
- Review and approve Quality Control laboratory records, including test results, data sheets, and Certificates of Analysis (CoA). Ensure that test results and analytical data meet established specifications and acceptance criteria. Ensure that investigations into laboratory deviations, non-conformances, or out-of-specification results are conducted in accordance with GMP guidelines and internal SOPs.
- Lead and/or participate in investigations of quality incidents, deviations, and non-conformances. Identify root causes of quality issues and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) to prevent recurrence.
- Organize and maintain quality-related documents, records, and files in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections of premises for compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and internal procedures.
- Assist in the review and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in projects that support continuous improvement of the quality system.
- Support the QA team in achieving the department’s overall objectives and perform other duties as assigned.
- Education: B.Sc. in Chemistry, Biology, Biological or Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or related field
- Experience: 1–2 years in a QA or similar role (pharmaceutical or feed manufacturing preferred)
- Certifications: HACCP certification is an asset
- Knowledge of: GMPs, analytical testing, and statistical analysis tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe software
- Dependable, accountable, and team-oriented with a strong attendance record
- Are a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid Canadian work permit
- Are legally entitled to work in Canada
