Job DescriptionAs a Security Guard at Admiral Investigations, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our clients' properties, assets, and personnel. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities- Access Control:
Monitor and control access to the premises, ensuring that only authorized individuals are allowed entry. - Patrols:
Conduct routine patrols to deter criminal activity and respond to incidents, ensuring the safety and security of the property. - Emergency Response:
Act promptly in case of emergencies, such as fires, medical situations, or security breaches, and report incidents as necessary. - Surveillance:
Use surveillance equipment to monitor and report on suspicious activities, ensuring a proactive security presence. - Customer Service:
Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients and visitors with information and directions when needed. - Report Writing:
Maintain detailed and accurate incident reports, documenting any security‑related incidents and activities during your shift. - Collaboration:
Work closely with other security personnel, local law enforcement, and emergency services when required.
- No Prior License
Required:
We can assist you with the security guard license application process. - Police Records and Background Check:
All applicants must consent to a police records and background check as part of the licensing application process, as required for individuals applying for an individual license. - First Aid and CPR Certification:
Certification is considered an asset. - Strong Communication
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. - Observational
Skills:
Be detail‑oriented and able to identify potential security threats. - Customer Service Orientation:
Friendly, approachable, and capable of providing excellent customer service to clients and visitors. - Professional Demeanor:
Maintain a professional appearance and conduct while on duty. - Valid NS Driver's License: A valid Nova Scotia driver's license is preferred.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset.
