The YMCA of Pictou County seeks an engaging Youth Support Worker to guide youth in navigating life's challenges.
Your role includes maintaining professional boundaries while offering mentorship and developing life skills through structured programming. This position requires official documentation and the ability to handle high-pressure situations adeptly.
Key Responsibilities:
• Directly support youth with case management
• Complete client intakes and documentation meticulously
• Support life skills development activities
• Plan and deliver recreational programming
• Connect and collaborate with colleagues and community partners
Requirements:
• Strong experience working with vulnerable youth
• Class 5 driver’s license with insurance
• Excellent communication and empathy skills
• Comfortable adjusting to shift changes
• Intermediate computer proficiency, HIFIS experience preferred
