Senior Accountant

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager to oversee accounting activities for a division and play a key role in financial reporting, month-end close, cost accounting, and inventory management.

This is a hands-on opportunity for an accounting professional with strong manufacturing experience who can work cross-functionally and provide meaningful financial analysis to management.

• Manage divisional month-end and year-end close activities.
• Prepare weekly and monthly journal entries and supporting documentation.
• Prepare divisional financial statements through the ERP system.
• Perform P&L and Balance Sheet analysis and explain variances to management.
• Prepare monthly accruals and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Support standard cost development and analysis for machines and parts.
• Support cost accounting activities related to inventory and cost of sales.
• Prepare and review inventory and COGS journal entries.
• Reconcile the General Ledger to inventory subledgers.
• Review and establish reserves for excess and obsolete inventory.
• Report key monthly metrics, including inventory turns, shipments, forecast vs. actual results, order rates, and backlog.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

• 4+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ERP systems.
