Library Media and Digital Learning Specialist - Long Term Sub
The Mont Vernon Village School is currently accepting applications for a Library Media and Digital Learning Specialist - LTS. This position creates a Future Ready environment where collaboration and creative problem‑solving thrive. The specialist serves as a visible and active leader in the school community, enriching and supporting teaching and learning while strengthening research and technology skills of students and staff.
They assist teachers in enhancing learning through collaboration and improved integration of technology. The professional will meet with students each week to fulfill the expectations of each content area, presenting lessons aligned with the Library (AASL), Technology (ISTE), and Computer Science (CS) Standards, thereby facilitating classroom instruction or broadening topics explored in the classroom.
- Strong advocate for early and lifelong literacy and digital citizenship.
- Strong collaborator and communicator with students, colleagues, and the community.
- Deep knowledge of information systems for managing library collections and resources.
- Manage library book and materials budget.
- School leader in the areas of literacy and technology.
- Support New Hampshire state testing implementation.
- Promote critical thinking skills with hands‑on STEM and Makerspace activities.
- Contribute to school social media accounts promoting literacy, technology, and important school‑wide events.
- Supervise and coordinate library volunteers.
- Certified by the New Hampshire Department of Education as a Library Media Specialist (0036).
- Certified by the New Hampshire Department of Education as a Digital Learning Specialist (0350).
- Demonstrated experience in an elementary school setting for a minimum of three years.
- Master’s degree from a program accredited by the American Library Association and completion of a teacher preparation program and/or educational degree.
- Excellent communication skills, well‑organized, efficient, reliable, independent, and well‑developed collaborative skills.
