Senior Controls Engineer

Overview

A global, employee-owned manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to join its Test & Automation team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about motion control, robotics, and smart automation systems, with a strong background in designing and integrating high-performance solutions for manufacturing test and assembly operations.

Base pay range
: $/yr - $/yr

Travel: Up to 10% (domestic and international)

• Design and implement automation systems integrating actuators, motors, servo presses, sensors, gauges, and SCADA systems
• Lead development of electrical controls for custom machines and test systems, ensuring quality, safety, and reliability
• Collaborate across engineering and business teams to deliver impactful solutions for global manufacturing operations
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 4+ years of experience in controls automation
• Proficiency in PLC programming (Logix 5000, RS Linx), robotics (Fanuc, Epson, UR), and vision systems (Cognex, Keyence)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Familiarity with Solid Works, AutoCAD, Power
