Summary

Cranmore’s mascot, C-More the Penguin, is one of the resort’s most recognizable faces and an important part of our brand. We’re looking for confident, enthusiastic, and energetic individuals (ages 16+) to serve on the Mascot Experience Crew. This role blends performance, guest engagement, and outdoor fun — whether you’re in costume as C-More interacting with families, or working as a mascot handler ensuring safe, memorable experiences.

If you love skiing and riding culture, thrive in front of a crowd, and want to share the Cranmore Spirit with every guest you meet, this role is for you.

Availability required: Saturdays from mid-December through March 28th, Sunday, January 18th, and daily during holiday weeks:
December 26th – January 2nd, and February 16th – 20th

Scheduling

Weekend, holiday work is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform as C-More the Penguin, entertaining and interacting with guests in a fun, energetic, and family-friendly way.
  • Serve as a mascot handler when not in costume — escorting C-More, assisting with crowd flow, and ensuring performing safety.
  • Engage guests across a variety of settings, including:
    • Early mornings during hotel visits to greet families and kick off their day.
    • Afternoons during mid-day resort walk arounds in lodges and base area.
    • Après-Ski at Cranapalooza where you’ll join the DJ, dance, pose for photos, and create high-energy, memorable send-offs to our guests.
  • Represent the Cranmore brand by sharing enthusiasm for skiing, riding, and outdoor adventure while creating a welcoming atmosphere for families.
  • Assist with event support — helping with setup, guest engagement, and cleanup.
  • Stay flexible and adaptable to rotating schedule of events, including weekends, holidays, and vacation weeks.
  • Stand and perform outdoors in cold winter conditions while dressed appropriately.
Qualifications
  • Must be 16+ years old.
  • Confident, energetic performer with an outgoing personality.
  • Passion for skiing, snowboarding, and mountain culture.
  • Comfortable performing in costume and interacting with large crowds.
  • Strong guest service and communication skills.
  • Ability to stand, move, and perform for extended periods of time in costume.
  • Able to lift to 35 lbs. and carry equipment short distances.
  • Reliable transportation; must be able to get to work in snowy conditions. Safety-conscious, responsible, and excited to create memorable experiences.
