As a Machinist I – Lathe, you will operate, set up, and maintain lathe machines for the prototyping and production of machined components. You will collaborate with engineering, programming, and tooling departments to ensure quality and efficiency.

• Set up and operate 5‑axis milling machines and/or lathe machines as required.
• Perform basic True Path and/or Mastercam operations.
• Advise engineers and programmers on cutting tools and tooling needed for projects.
• Maintain fixtures and set‑ups for assigned projects.
• Report machine performance issues to maintenance promptly and assist in resolution.
• Inspect and document all operations per the Quality Manual and project specifications.
• Perform daily machine maintenance.
• Keep work areas clean, safe, and report hazards or incidents to the supervisor.
• Support other machinists and machines as needed.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Associate’s degree in machining or approved apprenticeship program preferred.
• 2+ years of CNC mill and/or lathe operator experience, including basic set‑up.
• Basic understanding of trigonometry.
• Intermediate proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ERP software (Epicor preferred).
• Good knowledge of GD&T and ANSI Y14.5.
• Experience with blueprint reading and metrology tools.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
